Larry Dahlberg spun a deer hair head onto a hook and created a fly that both pops on the surface and dives beneath it, which is the kind of indecisiveness that usually gets you nowhere in life but apparently works brilliantly in fishing. Redfish hear the pop, see the dive, and react with the measured restraint of a dog chasing a tennis ball. Which is to say, none.
