Product Sourcing

Our flies are sourced from specialist fly tiers across America and select international partners. We curate, quality-check, and deliver — we do not manufacture flies ourselves. Each fly is inspected before shipping to ensure it meets our quality standards.

Pricing & Availability

All prices are listed in US Dollars. We reserve the right to adjust pricing at any time, though changes will not affect orders already placed. Product availability may vary — seasonal patterns rotate with the hatches, as nature intended.

Subscriptions

Subscription plans (The Hatch, The Full Creel, State Boxes) are billed monthly on the date of your initial subscription. You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard — no contracts, no cancellation fees. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; your final month's box will still ship.

We may modify subscription contents and pricing with 30 days' notice via email. Your continued subscription after that period constitutes acceptance of the changes.

Shipping

Free shipping on all orders within the continental United States. Orders typically ship within 2–3 business days. Subscription boxes ship on the 1st of each month. Delivery is generally 3–7 business days depending on your location.

We do not currently ship internationally. Alaska and Hawaii shipping may be available at an additional cost — contact us for details.

Returns & Refunds

We stand behind the quality of our flies. If you receive a defective fly (damaged hook, unraveling materials, etc.), we will replace it at no charge. Contact us within 30 days of delivery with a photo of the defective item.

30-day satisfaction guarantee: If you're not satisfied with your first order or subscription box, contact us within 30 days for a full refund. This applies to your first purchase only.

Due to the nature of fly fishing products, we cannot accept returns on used flies.

Intellectual Property

All content on this site — including text, images, fly descriptions, articles, and photography — is the property of The Woolly Gentleman unless otherwise noted. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

The Woolly Gentleman provides flies for recreational fishing. We make no guarantees about catch rates (the fish make their own decisions). We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific product or service in question.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered customers. Continued use of our site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
