Barracuda are the punk rock of the flats -- fast, aggressive, and thoroughly uninterested in your approval. This needlefish imitation is tied long and lean, because barracuda like their prey shaped like exclamation points. Strip it as fast as you can, and then strip faster. The take is a blur of teeth and speed that will make you grateful for the wire tippet and slightly concerned about your fingers. Barracuda on a fly rod is the most fun you will have while being mildly terrified.
