Named after the legendary lake that sits at the heart of Alaska's greatest trophy trout fishery, the Iliamna Pinkie occupies the no-man's-land between egg pattern and flesh fly. It is pink enough to be an egg, fleshy enough to be flesh, and productive enough that the distinction does not matter. The rainbows of the Iliamna drainage have seen millions of flies, and they still eat this one with confidence.
